Movie critique by Kate Pulzone on “SEVEN DAYS OF GRACE”

“Seven Days of Grace” starring Lesley-Anne Down, Ria Coyne, Olivia Hussey, Stephanie Beacham, directed by Don E. Fauntleroy filmed in 2005 is about four women, a barmaid, a lesbian, a hippie and a blonde with big personal problems.  One of the four women, Grace, a really bad actress in the movie, says good-bye to her father as he died in bed, leaving a family restaurant.  The father is Italian but the restaurant features his secret “ribs” recipe.  Grace, always an unemployed actress because she’s always getting kicked off the set, teams up with her three friends who are all in need of money.  They pool their resources to keep the “joint” going while fighting a nasty landlord who always comes around threatening to toss them out on the street.  Grace can’t figure out the secret ingredient to her father’s ribs and they wind up betting on horses and wearing lingerie in the joint to auction off for money.

I have to say, this is the worst movie I have ever seen and I actually forced myself to watch the entire movie, convinced it had to get better with this good cast of actresses.  I was wrong – it got worse as the movie dragged on.  Save your money and most of all, save your time and walk right by this movie if you see it.  I bought it for it’s Italian theme and because it cost $4.00 when a video store closed down on Shelbyville Road on the East end.    It wasn’t stupid in a funny slapstick way, it was just plain stupid!  The funny thing is, they actually have “extra features” of making this film at the end.
